The Last Voyage: E = Enlighten #AtoZChallenge

And the A to Z challenge continues everyone. How are you doing so far?

So I’m trying to visit more/new blogs each day and I came across some really interesting themes and posts :)

But so far, the one I’m enjoying the most is Akshata Ram at askwrites she’s an Indian writer posting about social and personal issues in the life of a women  in Urban India. Quite relatable, smart and sharp.

Okay, heading to today’s poem.

The sky is endless in the middle of the sea. The ship sails peacefully under nights filled with stars. The Sea Captain lies on the deck, hands under her head watching the constellations dance and shimmer.

In her life there are individuals who shine like a beacon.

 And one of those she left behind, one she feels she betrayed, a friend who around him she knows what safety means.

He will be missed.

Cinquain is a non-rhyming 5-lined poem pioneered by Adelaide Crapsey (1878 - 1914). There are many ways to write it, weather relaying on the number of words or syllables in each line, which makes it always end up in a diamond-like shape. I will be following the two and sometimes a mix of both types.
