The Last Voyage: Mephistophelian, No man’s land & Ocean #AtoZChallenge

State Of Day. I’m Back from seeing my nephew, he’s well and cute and everything a new born is.

On another note, Big Hit did it again, they fooled us! BTS’s next album will not be Love Yourself: Wonder but Love Yourself: Tear…I had a feeling something funny's going on. Anyway, as an ARMY I’m aware of such tricks by now.

The Last Voyage: Hope #AtoZChallenge

State Of Day. Today I officially became an aunt. My older brother RoboBro, in the wee hours of this day, has transformed into a father. It makes such cosmic sense that the first child of this man in particular is born in a World Cup year.
RoboBro, you see, is a football fanatic :P
In fact, it is because of him that I was introduced to the fabulous FC Barcelona.

What? Why yes, of course I’m happy :) there’s a new baby in town!

The Last Voyage: Captain is Deadly? #AtoZChallenge

Hello there!

Already missing a day you ask me?

Yea well, for the first time in my life I celebrated my Birthday.
Yes I am aware my birthday was on Monday but the cute small party was on Tuesday.

My friends, who I haven’t seen for ages, and I went out and had a really good time, and when I came back I was tired and not at all in the mood for writing.
No fear though, I got two poems for today.

The Last Voyage: My Birthday and Where I Will Always Belong #AtoZChallenge

source

Hello everyone!

It is B-Day in the A to Z challenge and for the Sea Captain ^-^

Over the years I celebrated my birthday on the 2nd of April on this sweet avenue “I Will Never Give you Up” that I’m saying goodbye to through the A to Z event.
It became kind of a ritual, and this year isn’t different, except it will be my last celebration here. Okay, here we Go!

The Last Voyage: Astrolabe #AtoZChallenge

Hello!

Today my friends I have an important announcement...dun, dun daaan:
I am in the process of closing this blog.
Yes...I said it.

After 5 years I am about to say goodbye to my beloved ‘I Will Never Give you Up.’
I honestly believe it has run its course and life span, and the Sea Captain who started this blog in 2014 is different from the one writing to you now.

But it is obvious, is it not?

Team E and an Announcement

State of Day. This post has been delayed due to internet connection troubles.

Also. I’m really sorry, but I’m officially announcing that I will not be finishing this challenge with you, I don’t want to post things I’m not convinced about and to give it my all means doing badly in my Master research which of course cannot happen. Bottom line is don’t except to see the letters dancing daily on my blog. It is most unfortunate, and I thank you for your support and comments so far.

Your Captain.
..........................................................................................................
Greetings my friends!

I’m posting for you today from a blue box where all the magical things tack-place, we can go to meet our old depressed future versions, or be hunted down by weeping angels, or solve the mystery of a mysterious crack on the wall and maybe dine with Liz 10 as we sale by a freezing star.
Have I made myself obvious enough? Ha!
Today’s team is special and dear to my heart. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Make way For the Champions & THE Champion Xavi

The boys greeting the fans

So in nowhere else but Madrid we made it. Finally, FC Barcelona, dear FC Barcelona has won La Liga
Thanks to our hero. Only one goal was enough. Lionel Messi strikes yet again
With a ridiculously skilled goal (I can’t stop hitting repeat) against Atletico Madrid in el calderon

TOSOD: And the Award Goes To..

Heaay! goofing around! We Are the Champions!

Football wise. Yes we won La Liga but more on that in a separate post :)

Reading wise. I finished Scarlet by Marisssa Meyer and again I appreciate the genius of this woman. Although I’m not sure why a lot of girls were hyping about Captain Thorn? I must confess reading her short story ''Carswell's Guide to Being Lucky'' I was terrified he might charm me more than Emperor Kai. But what I found was that teenage Thorn was a hell of a character whereas his adult is nothing but a shell bossed around by a 16 year old (i.e. Cinder).

It’s Reflection Time!

List here

Why hello there! You’re still around? Cool.

This is Captain Haneen’s ever first A to Z challenge reflection post. Through April I have become an expert in 3 swords from the East, Middle Earth and the West, caught a sun ray, crossed the fire chasm, swooned over the power of innocence, turned philosopher and blew the foghorn announcing the Captain I am.
And not surprisingly many many more.
I invaded my city of loneliness room after room and came up with what the lonely poet would put in her notebook. What a journey it was.

H is for Haneen. Your Captain, duh!

source

Hello again everyone, the second post in the day and I refuse to be put down by my yesterday failure, I am on fire so make sure not to catch a flame. Today I will tell you the story of the name Haneen.
So I’m a narcissist, sue me! :P

:”( G is for Geography..sniff, sniff

State of day. I’m so sorry. Mostly for myself. I missed a day in the A to Z challenge and I am probably officially disqualified by now, but at least it wasn’t due to laziness. I had my post ready to publish but then my clumsiness got in and I broke my brothers Wi-Fi and had no other way to connect to the internet.
I got really upset, and I mean depressed upset, it was very late at night anyway, it was a long day and many other things contributed but this, missing the challenge was the last straw. Today I woke up with swelling eyes.
Ah well. I’ll be posting the H separately so I can say later that I posted twice a day. :)

Leaders & followers: Memories of a 6 year old

In order for him to relate to the tortured girl Carrie White in his book Carrie, *Stephen King tells how he had to explore an area in his past so “distasteful” as he calls it, his exact words were “digging back to my memories of high school...remembering what I knew about the two loneliest, most reviled girls in my class—how they looked, how they acted, how they were treated (p.78)
Yes the stories of those girls were sad and both have died tragically in a young age before he even wrote the book, but this simple exercise –if I might call it one- was of tremendous help to him, he finally came to understand and sympathize with his troubled main character. We writers do this a lot, derive from our own memories and real life to enrich, relate and create believable characters and situations.
