Hello!
Today
my friends I have an important announcement...dun, dun daaan:
I am in
the process of closing this blog.
Yes...I
said it.
After 5
years I am about to say goodbye to my beloved ‘I Will Never Give you Up.’
I
honestly believe it has run its course and life span, and the Sea Captain who
started this blog in 2014 is different from the one writing to you now.
But it
is obvious, is it not?
Last
time I posted here was on the last day of the 2017 A to Z challenge, that’s a
whole year. Sad but true.
I
almost skipped the challenge this year but on the last moment I plucked enough
courage to participate, I mean it is a good way of saying farewell.
My
history with the A to Z challenge in a nutshell:
In
2014 the Sea Captain didn’t know what she got herself into, in 2015 she was a
Lone Poet (still is -_-), in 2016 she got entangled in some serious team work
and in 2017 she gave a chance to the teacher within to party and invite her
talented students (that project was a great success by the way in school, it
even got me an honoring from the board).
This
year I once again want to be weaving cinquain poems, I really liked writing those
small creatures, both easy and tricky, how to catch a feeling or an experience
or a concept in a small diamond shaped piece was a joy I want to repeat.
Therefore
my friends in 2018 the Sea Captain is leaving her port forever and embarking on
a new journey, sailing through the unknown in verse style :)
But before
she even begins she needs a precious device that will guide her ship safely to
its next destination. She can always relay on GPS?….Naah!
She has
her eyes on an ancient one:
An Astrolabe (beautifully defined into "the one that catches the heavenly bodies."
The amount of romance in that is enough to satisfy my appetite).
Hence the
poem of the day:
Astrolabe
A
guide
Towards
the heavenly
Through
fog or unnerving lucidity
Heart
Hope you like it :)

Cinquain
is a non-rhyming 5-lined poem pioneered by Adelaide Crapsey (1878 - 1914).
There are many ways to write it, weather relaying on the number of words or
syllables in each line, which makes it always end up in a diamond-like shape. I
will be following the two and sometimes a mix of both types.
I do like it!!!
ReplyDeleteCinquain is one of my favorite forms.
Great to see you for another A to Z
Thank You ^-^
