The Last Voyage: Hope #AtoZChallenge

State Of Day. Today I officially became an aunt. My older brother RoboBro, in the wee hours of this day, has transformed into a father. It makes such cosmic sense that the first child of this man in particular is born in a World Cup year.

RoboBro, you see, is a football fanatic :P

In fact, it is because of him that I was introduced to the fabulous FC Barcelona.

What? Why yes, of course I’m happy :) there’s a new baby in town!

Hola!

Ah my ‘H’!  a very nice looking letter, don’t you think?  simple and sophisticated shape, at least this is what I see when I look at it.

It also makes it kind of a duty of mine to come up with something unique for this post.  Crazy ideas were snow balling on me, words like; Hurricane, Hunger and Hallucination came to mind, mainly because (other than my unhealthy desire to impress), last time I left the Sea Captain (i.e. my fictional self) in a tough spot, so I mused: why not take the story to a different direction?

I mean sooner and later the Captain and her crew will find themselves between Scylla and Charybdis, and what’s worse than mythological sea monsters to ruin a happy voyage? 
Eventually though I ordered myself to snap out of it and just let things unfold naturally. 

The Voyage so far has went according to what I’m feelings at the time of writing, and today I stumbled on big a hurdle in life. But because I’m an optimistic person by nature who happens to be stubborn and impatient, depression  is too boring for me -_-

Hence, the result.

The Sea Captain takes her eyes off her diary and turns to the small figure that came to stand by her side, her youngest sailor, a fourth year student. He was smiling at her, his name was Adam, and every time she looks at him he fills her with a sense of hope and goodness. After all, she was the one who saved his life when he was an infant and brought him to the castle.

“Why are you worried Captain? We got the dawn on our side.”

Sigh! He’s right. She checks her astrolabe and decides to chill, for now. Come what may, the fire the rain, she will be ready.

Cinquain is a non-rhyming 5-lined poem pioneered by Adelaide Crapsey (1878 - 1914). There are many ways to write it, weather relaying on the number of words or syllables in each line, which makes it always end up in a diamond-like shape. I will be following the two and sometimes a mix of both types.
