Voyage's End: Good Bye

My dear readers

Instead of prolonging this & wasting time on trying to write an epic farewell post, it occurred to me today, finally, that I should make this simple, hence;

This is indeed my final post!
It has been an honor knowing and meeting you and equal honor writing in this corner I called mine for years.

Mirroring my first post I declare that weather I’m stuck in a giant robot mid battle or running through the savanna to the sunset, I wish to meet you again somewhere else in this virtual space.

With all the love

Goodbye!

Your Loyal Captain Haneen Ibrahim.

The Last Voyage: Lament #AtoZChallenge

Hello!!!

Another day in the A to Z challenge and another letter and today we deal with ‘L’ and lament our horrid luck.
Just kidding :p

The sound of whizzing that resembled a dying scream was what she heard as her sword dug into the shadowy monster that she dueled with a moment ago.
But that was only a puppet and she knew it. Who’s the master?

The black pitched world began to blur, she was on her ship again in a foggy morning, except she was alone. The ship was abandoned and no sign for her crew.
Her frustration rose to her throat.
“I’m still stuck in this spell?!”

Did she do anything wrong? Is this an act of revenge? Who did she pissed off so much to spin this elaborate sick joke. A rather dangerous sick joke.
Nothing was happening so…how about she burns the whole charade down?
She walked determined heading for the kitchen. The Sea Captain couldn't be sure, yet she was positive her men were in a desperate situation, so far the master of this magic cage has proven to be both powerful and a trickster.

And that he chose her in particular to play his game.

See you soon :)

Cinquain is a non-rhyming 5-lined poem pioneered by Adelaide Crapsey (1878 - 1914). There are many ways to write it, weather relaying on the number of words or syllables in each line, which makes it always end up in a diamond-like shape. I will be following the two and sometimes a mix of both types.

The Last Voyage: Jack- O-Lantern & Kamikaze #AtoZChallenge

Greetings to you all!

Well, um, yes. You can see I missed the letter ‘J’ yesterday, but I got really busy preparing for a trip, as I told you before. This auntie is heading to another city to meet her first ever official nephew Ramiz :)
I have no idea if I will be able to keep up with the challenge in the upcoming couple of days, let’s just hope no more delays happen.

The Last Voyage: Hope #AtoZChallenge

State Of Day. Today I officially became an aunt. My older brother RoboBro, in the wee hours of this day, has transformed into a father. It makes such cosmic sense that the first child of this man in particular is born in a World Cup year.
RoboBro, you see, is a football fanatic :P
In fact, it is because of him that I was introduced to the fabulous FC Barcelona.

What? Why yes, of course I’m happy :) there’s a new baby in town!

The Last Voyage: My Birthday and Where I Will Always Belong #AtoZChallenge

source

Hello everyone!

It is B-Day in the A to Z challenge and for the Sea Captain ^-^

Over the years I celebrated my birthday on the 2nd of April on this sweet avenue “I Will Never Give you Up” that I’m saying goodbye to through the A to Z event.
It became kind of a ritual, and this year isn’t different, except it will be my last celebration here. Okay, here we Go!

The Last Voyage: Astrolabe #AtoZChallenge

Hello!

Today my friends I have an important announcement...dun, dun daaan:
I am in the process of closing this blog.
Yes...I said it.

After 5 years I am about to say goodbye to my beloved ‘I Will Never Give you Up.’
I honestly believe it has run its course and life span, and the Sea Captain who started this blog in 2014 is different from the one writing to you now.

But it is obvious, is it not?

Make way For the Champions & THE Champion Xavi

The boys greeting the fans

So in nowhere else but Madrid we made it. Finally, FC Barcelona, dear FC Barcelona has won La Liga
Thanks to our hero. Only one goal was enough. Lionel Messi strikes yet again
With a ridiculously skilled goal (I can’t stop hitting repeat) against Atletico Madrid in el calderon

It’s Reflection Time!

List here

Why hello there! You’re still around? Cool.

This is Captain Haneen’s ever first A to Z challenge reflection post. Through April I have become an expert in 3 swords from the East, Middle Earth and the West, caught a sun ray, crossed the fire chasm, swooned over the power of innocence, turned philosopher and blew the foghorn announcing the Captain I am.
And not surprisingly many many more.
I invaded my city of loneliness room after room and came up with what the lonely poet would put in her notebook. What a journey it was.

Farewell to The Master

State Of Day. On the Man City match last Tuesday Messi oddly missed a penalty and from two tries! ouch. Not surprisingly he took it pretty hard.

after the miss :(
But...yesterday against Granada in La Lega he scored an effortless goal that got him all smiling again. Welcome back Leo.

And it was from quite a while yes but I’ve received the Liebster Award, my ever first award yay! More on this in a coming post, thank you Tyrean Martinson.

Brazil World Cup part (2) From 16 to 8 and Decreasing

State of Day. I’m happy that Carles Puyol former Barca Captain was the Spanish player chosen by Fifa to represent former winners Spain and have the honor to hand the Cup to the new winning team on the final night. A respect he truly deserves.
Saw Hugo again yesterday, that scene in the end with a tearing Hugo telling the guard ‘you should understand’ gesturing to his injured leg gets to me every time, I love this movie.
And is it true that Suarez is coming to Barca? I think it is. Badly done FC Barcelona management, badly done.

Brazil World Cup part (1) The Goodbyes

it will be kinder

The World Cup couldn’t have chosen a worse time to, well, happen! Ah! It is I who couldn’t have chosen a lousier time to start a new job. I wanted to blog earlier but didn’t have the time, got a lot on me plate these days but here I am today and it is the part where I say goodbye to the departing teams of stage one.
